VW Golf VII 1.4 TSI – more dynamics thanks to precise ECU tuning

Volkswagen Golf VII with 1.4 TSI engine with factory power of 150 HP is a great combination of performance and economy. However, thanks to precise modification of the engine controller (MED17), it is possible to significantly improve both the dynamics and flexibility of the car in the entire range of revolutions.

The MED17 controller is an advanced ECU unit that controls, among others :

Precise fuel doses depending on engine load and operating conditions.
Turbocharging operation, which allows for achieving optimal pressure over a wide RPM range.
Ignition and combustion parameters, thanks to which the modification provides better performance while maintaining low fuel consumption.
Cooperation with sensors that monitor exhaust gas temperature and catalytic converter operation.

The engine gains significantly better dynamics throughout the entire rev range.
The car becomes more flexible, which makes overtaking or driving with a heavier load much easier.
The increase in power and torque takes place safely, while maintaining durability reserves for key components.
Chiptuning the Golf VII on the MED17 controller requires good diagnostics and knowledge of this system in order not to make modifications through the entire table on %%%, which in a short time causes errors in the ECU and wear of the turbocharger.
If the car is equipped with a DSG gearbox, we also recommend remapping it to better transmit torque to the wheels.
