Seat Leon 2.0 TDI (EDC17C64) – Stage 1 – +23 KM / +70 Nm

Seat Leon 2.0 TDI (EDC17C64) – Stage 1 – +23 HP / +70 Nm

The Seat Leon with the 2.0 TDI engine is one of the most common cars in the VAG family, ideal for safe and effective software modification.
Thanks to the precise calibration of the Bosch EDC17C64 controller, we achieved a significant increase in power and torque, while maintaining the full durability and economy of the unit.

EDC17C64 controller – precise and safe potential

The 2.0 TDI engine equipped with the Bosch EDC17C64 controller is a modern design with a large safety margin – both in terms of injection pressure and boost parameters.
The factory version of 161 HP is a so-called software-limited map , not mechanically.
Thanks to this, the Stage 1 modification allows you to fully exploit its potential without any changes to the hardware.

This project included:

  • 💻 reading and writing ECU in bench mode,

  • 🧠 engine log analysis (boost, rail pressure, EGT, MAF, injection corrections),

  • ⚙️ individual ECU calibration – optimization of torque maps, boost pressure and injection,

  • 📈 final test on the Dynomax / Dynomet dynamometer .

Effects after Stage 1 modification

Parameter In series After modification Increase
Power (hp) 161 hp 184 hp +23 hp
Torque (Nm) 370 Nm 440 Nm +70 Nm

The increase in power and torque translates directly into driving comfort – the car responds faster to gas, accelerates more smoothly and copes much better with higher gears.
Increased flexibility in the 1800–3500 rpm range makes the Leon more confident to drive without sacrificing fuel economy .

Characteristics after modification

  • ⚡ Better throttle response and fuller mid-range torque,

  • 🚗 Smooth acceleration without jerks,

  • 🔧 Stable ECU operation – no DTC errors and no smoking,

  • 🧩 All diagnostic functions preserved,

  • ⛽ Potential fuel consumption reduction of 0.3–0.5 l/100 km when driving calmly.

This is an example of a modification in which a safe increase in power goes hand in hand with improved driving refinement and fuel economy.

ECU machining process – EDC17C64

Each modification in ChiptuningKRK is an original ECU processing done by hand – without ready-made drivers and universal presets.

In this project, the file was developed for specific software, with full log analysis and dyno testing.
Changes include:

  • torque maps and torque limiters,

  • fuel, rail and boost pressure maps,

  • SOI and EGT maps,

  • characteristics of DPF/EGT limiters within a safe range.

For tuners and workshops – EDC17C64 file processing

For B2B partners, we offer professional processing of ECU files for TDI engines from the VAG EDC17C64 family:

  • 💾 Stage 1 / Stage 2 / ECO / DPF OFF / EGR OFF ,

  • ⚙️ Individual calibration for a specific HW/SW ,

  • 🧠 Log analysis and technical support ,

  • ⏱️ Completion time: 30–40 minutes ,

  • 📊 Tests: Dynomax / Dynomet .

We process each file while maintaining OEM safety limits – safe for the engine, turbocharger and DSG/MT gearbox.
