The BMW 320d F30 184 HP (N47) engine is one of the most successful diesel engines in the brand's history – dynamic, flexible and economical.
By individually modifying the Bosch EDC17C41 ECU software , you can safely and effectively increase its capabilities, improving both performance and driving comfort.


Modification Effects – BMW 320d Stage 1

Based on log analysis, measurements from the Dynomax / Dynomet dynamometer and the original Stage 1 file , we achieved a stable and safe power increase:

How ECU modification works

We work directly on the Bosch EDC17C41 controller , used in N47 engines.
We read and write software using professional tools – KESS3, Autotuner, CMDFlash, Flex – and each modification is based on individual vehicle logs , not on a ready-made file.

The process includes:

  1. 🔍 Initial diagnostics – error reading and parameter control,

  2. 📊 Baseline measurement of power and torque,

  3. 💻 Log analysis: boost pressure, fuel dose, EGT, MAF, injection corrections,

  4. ⚙️ Preparation of individual chip tuning Stage 1 file ,

  5. 🧩 Test and final measurement on the Dynomax / Dynomet dynamometer.

Each file is created based on real data from the car – this ensures that the tuning is tailored, safe and stable .


Additional modification options

We also perform additional software adjustments upon request:

  • DPF OFF – removal of the particulate filter logic (for vehicles with DPF failure),

  • EGR OFF – turning off exhaust gas recirculation,

  • ⚙️ Start-Stop OFF – deactivation of the automatic engine shutdown system,

All modifications remain compatible with the ECU software and do not cause diagnostic errors.


Safe tuning = long-lasting engine

When maintaining reasonable Stage 1 parameters and regular maintenance (oil changes every 10,000–12,000 km), the N47 engine maintains full durability and reliability.
We do not increase the pressure beyond limits that could affect the turbocharger or gearbox.

Each project ends with a measurement and a dynamometer report confirming the power and torque gains.
