The car arrived at our workshop with the goal of increasing the dynamics and flexibility of the 2.0 TDI engine. After modifying the ECU—in this case, a Bosch MD1 series control unit (specifically: MD1CS004)—we achieved 234 hp and 482 Nm of torque.

Modification process – reading, analysis, tuning
We began a full diagnostic and logging of the engine's operation prior to modification. The Bosch MD1 ECU was read, and then we analyzed the torque maps, fuel delivery, boost pressure, and torque limits of the gearbox/drivetrain.
Based on this, we prepared a custom Stage 1 file, tailored to the specific car. The modifications included:

correction of fuel dose and ignition for a more dynamic response,

safety calibration: exhaust gas temperatures, torque limits, engine stability.
Everything was tested and verified on Dynomax and Dynomet dynamometers - confirming the actual values.
