A Saab 9-3 with a 2.0 T petrol turbo engine arrived at our workshop with a claimed power output of 170 hp. A dyno reading showed 165 hp, which is typical for older models.
After individually tuning the Trionic 8 controller, we achieved 205 HP and 339 Nm , maintaining full safety of the engine and the supercharging system.
The modification significantly improved the throttle response, flexibility and operating character of the unit – without the risk of overloading the components.

Modification process – diagnostics, reading, tuning
Before starting the modification, we performed ECU diagnostics and baseline measurements on Dynomax and Dynomet dynamometers to verify the condition of the engine and boost control systems.
The Trionic 8 controller was read via the OBD connector and analyzed for:

Based on this, we have prepared an individual Stage 1 file , ensuring a safe increase in power and torque.
The entire process—from reading to final writing—took about 30–40 minutes .
