BMW M240i G42 – 441 HP / 662 Nm on the Dynomax / Dynomet dynamometer
A unique BMW M240i G42 appeared on our Dynomax / Dynomet dynamometer – a compact sports car with M Performance genes, which, after a few well-thought-out modifications, showed the enormous potential of the B58 engine.
Client modifications
The car owner opted for a proven set of upgrades that significantly improved airflow, exhaust system efficiency and tuning options:

The kit was calibrated to safe AFR and EGT values using JB4 logs and dyno measurements.
The effect of measurement on the dynamometer
After modifications, the BMW M240i G42 returned the favor with impressive results:

The car retains its factory-like smoothness and smooth power delivery, while gaining aggression and immediate throttle response that are nowhere to be found in the standard M240i.
Workshop Commentary
The B58TU engine used in the M240i G42 is a design with a huge margin.
Combined with the JB4 module and improved intake and exhaust flow, the unit responds perfectly even without any intervention in the ECU.
The combination of MST intake + SKWeld exhaust + JB4 gives a very broad and stable torque characteristic - 662 Nm available from ~2500 rpm up to the high ranges.
